State Bank of India has issued a big announcement for all SBI Credit Card Holder. Due to which now some rules regarding credit card will change. These changes are going to be implemented from July 15, 2025. These changes will be implemented on the minimum amount due (MAD) with special air accident insurance benefits. Free insurance cover will End

According to the information given by SBI Card under the new change, complimentary insurance accident cover was available on these premium cards SBI Card ELITE, Miles ELITE and Miles Prime. Which will now be discontinued from July 15 under the new change. Apart from this, SBI Card PRIME and PULSE card holders used to get an insurance cover of ₹ 50 lakh, it will also be discontinued from July 15.

Impact on co-branded cards Too

The impact of this new change will be seen on co-branded cards apart from SBI’s major cards. Now from August 11, 2025, the insurance cover available on UCO Bank SBI Card ELITE, Central Bank of India SBI Card ELITE, Karnataka Bank SBI Platinum Card and Federal Bank SBI Platinum Card will also be discontinued.

Strictness on minimum due amount rules

From July 15, there is going to be a big strictness on the minimum due amount (MAD) rules. Now due to this change, 100% GST, all EMI dues, finance charges and other fees, overlimit amount, 2% additional part of the remaining outstanding amount will be included in the minimum due amount (MAD). This will encourage customers to pay on time and improve financial discipline.
