Government or UIDAI officially posted on social media platform X Twitter regarding the free aadhar extension date as given below:
“UIDAI extends free online document upload facility till 14th June 2026; to benefit millions of Aadhaar Number Holders. This free service is available only on myAadhaar portal. UIDAI has been encouraging people to keep documents updated in their Aadhaar.”
It means that all of you can now update your Aadhaar card free till date of 14 June 2025 Online. But this offer is available on myAadhaar portal online only.
Your Aadhaar will block
Most people’s are registered for Aadhaar and taken copy of it and forgot it. But if your Aadhaar card is too old and completed 10+ years then it is time to worry. Because it is mandatory to update Aadhaar at least once in 10 years. Otherwise it can be blocked.
Biometrics and Mobile Number Updation
By using this big offer you can only update your Documented updates like address or name. But if you want to update your Aadhaar Biometrics and Mobile number then this facility is not available online. For that you must want to visit nearest Aadhaar kendra and then Updation is possible with standard charges.
Stepwise Process for Free Aadhaar Updation
Please follow the following process to update your Aadhaar card online using MyAadhaar Portal.
- Firstly Visit to official website of Aadhaar i.e. https://myaadhaar.uidai.gov.in/ and login using your Aadhaar number and OTP.
- Check the all old Aadhaar details. If that’s all are same then click on ‘I verify that the above details are correct‘.
- If needs to change, then change carefully as per available document.
- After that you want to select Proof document for name or Address from given menu. It must be less than 2 MB size and must be of JPEG, PND or PDF Format only.
- After completion of it simply submit the details and download the receipt for future reference.
